Delete your Readify account

The recommended path is inside the app. The server confirms deletion before Readify clears the local signed-in state.

1. Delete in the app

This page covers the Readify Lock app for iPhone and the Readify app for Android (package name com.josephtms.readify). They share one account and one set of records, so deleting from either app deletes everything below.

  1. Open Readify and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Record, then Settings.
  3. Choose Delete Account.
  4. Read the warning and confirm deletion.
  5. If Readify asks you to confirm it is you, complete the sign-in it offers and repeat the deletion request.

How that confirmation looks depends on how you sign in. An email-and-password account asks for your password. A Google account (Android) confirms through the Android credential picker; Readify does not remove Readify from your Google account’s connected apps, so review that separately in your Google Account settings if you want to. A Sign in with Apple account (iPhone) may need a fresh Apple sign-in so Readify can attempt to revoke the Apple authorization before deletion; you can also review authorized apps in your Apple ID settings.

Deletion cannot be undone. Download or retain any creator source and challenge material you need before confirming.

2. What the confirmed deletion removes

The server’s current deletion flow removes account-linked live-service data, including:

  • your Firebase Authentication account;
  • your profile, email, name, language, and optional profile image;
  • your challenge memberships, progress, verification records, and leaderboard entries;
  • your private creator-block list and block records that identify you as a blocked creator;
  • reports you submitted, creator-access requests, retired account-deletion requests, and account-linked AI generation records;
  • correction-history identifiers that point to your account; and
  • all challenges you created, including their catalog entries, join codes, content, answer keys, member projections, and leaderboards.

The deletion is server-authoritative and idempotent: a retry after an interrupted response is designed to converge on the same result rather than recreate account data. There is no partial-deletion option and no waiting period—the account is removed, not deactivated.

3. If you created a challenge

Deleting your account deletes the challenges you own, even when other readers joined them. Those readers lose access to the challenge, its protected reading content, and its challenge-specific leaderboard and progress projections. Your account is not transferred to another creator.

If you only want to stop participating as a reader, use Leave Challenge instead of deleting your entire account.

4. What may remain outside account-linked live data

  • A server-only anti-recreation marker keyed by a one-way SHA-256 digest derived from the former Firebase user ID. It contains only its security purpose, deletion state, and timestamps—not the raw user ID, profile, content, or reading data—and clients cannot access it.
  • A private report another account filed about your challenge may remain as that reporter’s moderation/security record, so deleting challenged content cannot erase an open abuse report. It is not a retained public copy of your challenge.
  • Aggregated statistics that no longer identify your account.
  • Information TMS DIGITAL SRL must retain to comply with law, resolve a legal claim, or address security abuse.
  • Limited security, request, or technical logs retained by Firebase, Apple, Google, OpenAI, hosting, or network providers according to their own schedules.
  • Device-local preferences, such as language or first-launch state, until you clear app data or uninstall Readify. On Android, this also includes the on/off record of your app-blocking choice; uninstalling Readify or clearing its app data removes it, and revoking usage access or “display over other apps” in Android Settings stops any lock immediately.

Neither app contains Firebase Analytics, a crash-reporting SDK, advertising, IDFA, an Android advertising ID, or a tracking SDK in free v1. Firebase service SDKs may process unlinked diagnostics and app-instance identifiers as disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

5. If you cannot access the app

Email admin@tmsdevelops.com with the subject “Readify account deletion.” State the email address used for the account—your Google account email, your Apple private-relay address, or the address you registered with—and explain that you cannot reach the in-app control. Do not send your password or an Apple or Google authorization code.

We will need to verify that you control the account before acting. A request from an unverified address is not enough to delete another person’s account.
